Did you get the "Conga Line" allusion? That's what I was going for...don't know if it worked!
The idea I'm trying to get across is the amazing chain of dance steps you can take just by starting out on one blog that you already read, then there's this guest poster, so you go check out their blog, and before you know it, you are 5 sites away. But it's such a fun ride! And it's just so darn easy to make "friends" on the internet, read about their lives and thoughts, and chat about so many things.
So, I start out on Blog Goggles, and she's got Valerie of Being Red guest-blogging about her vintage style. While I'm checking out a new blog, I like to at least read the first page of posts (depending on how many interruptions from the peanut gallery I get). Mid-way down on Valerie's page is a post full of links of her faves of the week; I click on one referring to a favorite hot drink, and voila! I find a post about very cool teacups on La Mia Vita; she found them on Marvelous Kiddo, which I've checked out a few times, so I pop over there; well, she found them on another blog, but at this point I'm exhausted, so I just check out the original retail site - Bouf.
This is the picture everyone is featuring, but you KNOW I want it in pink!!
Does anyone know what 14.98 GBP would be in dollars? :)

I do the same thing Tikimama! Very cool cups.
ReplyDeleteTikimama, I like your style! You make common things fun on your posts. That's what I try to do as well. Thanks for following my blog and art. I was looking for your blog, and, well.... here we are!
ReplyDeleteOH I LOVE THIS CUP!!!
ReplyDeleteand the whole blogging thing is wild. it is just INFINITE once you start clicking, and you never know where you will end up! sometimes it makes my head spin.
I so agree! I go along adding every blog to my favourites so i don't lose them!
ReplyDeleteGreat post and i want this tea cup in green! :)
I thought PURPLE was your favorite color? But I guess that it doesn't really fit in with the whole Mid-Century aesthetic, huh! It has a very specific color palette. So, we must THINK PINK!
ReplyDeleteI must have this cup...to make it even more fun I would love to have one and paint it with a print of one of the Disneyland tea cups..
ReplyDeleteAnthony - yes, I love purple, but it doesn't go with my kitchen :-)
ReplyDeleteIris - love that idea!!
Haha, so glad you found something you liked through my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI love just clicking and seeing where it takes me!
Ah, that's what I do - the blonga line - but I can't seem to find the "favorites". At first I would click FLAG BLOG :P But that's completely different!
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cute tea cup! Good gift idea for my friend's birthday! Thanks for posting it!
Oohh - I love this cup!
ReplyDeleteI left a comment here last night, 'cyber' must have had it for a midnight snack.:)
ReplyDeleteThese cups are gorgeous! I love the colors and if I were a tea-drinker, I'd want one in each color.
What is your favorite tea? I did drink more tea when I lived in Germany. Afternoon teas are much more common in Europe. I wish we did this more in this country, it is a great way to get together with friends... and make new ones.:)
I'll see if this comments post.?
Sixpence: Sorry your first comment didn't make it through; glad this one did!
ReplyDeleteI love English and Irish Breakfast tea with milk. I was raised with afternoon tea-time, since my parents are big anglophiles and spent a year in England.
I wish getting together for tea was more common, too! As evidenced in my attempt at a virtual Tea Party! ;)
Can you hear the beat...? I'm joining a blonga line right now!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, £15 is about $22 US.
Hey MoonDoggie, let us know what you discover on your adventure in the blonga line! And thanks for the rate exchange! $22 for a teacup??!!
ReplyDeleteThose are the greatest teacups ever. Wow!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love those cups! And I've been doing the conga line blonga line recently too...so many blogs...so little time! Love your blog, just found it :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Tikimama! I found you by doing the blonga line. You comment on Retro Renovation, too, so I know and love your style!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least I know what to get you for your birthday! Assuming I can find one... do you recommend Etsy or Ebay? Or, maybe I should just pop on over to the isle & go vintage shopping there!
ReplyDeleteOops, Just saw your link to the vendor... I'll get mine in blue so we can have the best tea party EVER!
ReplyDeletethose are perfect, I want pink too.
ReplyDeletethanks for your comment, yes they make the hamsters too, my daughter is on the hunt for those-they go quick here.
